Making a Statement at Midwest Nationals

Beat the Streets Chicago youth wrestlers showed up in force at the 2019 Midwest Nationals Tournament on July 13 at Illinois Wesleyan in Bloomington-Normal.

Our young men dominated the 11th and 12th Boys division, taking first place by a comfortable margin over the second-place team. Beat the Streets also took first as a team in the College / Open Men’s Division, with some help from our college interns!

Special shout out to our wrestlers from Ogden Park who made the trip downstate. These fierce competitors and terrific young men worked hard all year. They deserve the champion belt!
