2024 scholarship and internship opportunities
SCHOLARSHIPS
Through generous donations from the Garriques and Boyd families, Beat the Streets Chicago is able to provide a variety of scholarships to wrestlers looking to better themselves through formal education. All scholarships listed below are one-year awards. Wrestlers are welcome to apply annually.
All applications include 4 essay questions. The College / Trade and Graduate School applications ask that you upload a PDF of a letter of recommendation to the application.
Applications for 2024 are now OPEN through April 12th
Grade School Scholarships
$1,000 towards expenses required to attend an impactful grade school.
High School Scholarships
$1,000 towards expenses required to attend an impactful high school.
Post-Secondary Scholarships
$1,500 towards expenses required to attend college or trade school school.
Scholarship Awards are given directly to the family (for minors) or the application to use towards educational expenses.
INTERNSHIPS
Through a generous donation from the Garriques family, Beat the Streets Chicago hosts 5-8 summer interns annually.
Interns work as wrestling coaches and developing professionals 20-25 hours per week from May 19 through August 4 (12 weeks). Interns are offered a $1,500 scholarship for interning with us.
