BTSC kids get a first look at college: NCC & UChicago Visits

We recently took groups of our younger IKWF Developmental and Competition team kids on college visits to North Central College and the University of Chicago, giving them a firsthand look at what’s possible beyond high school. At North Central, our kids toured the athletic facilities and watched a collegiate dual meet and got the chance to cheer on a few alumni from our girls program who now wrestle at Augustana College. Seeing familiar faces competing at the next level helped our younger kids connect today’s hard work with tomorrow’s opportunities. At UChicago, along with a guided campus tour from four current UChicago wrestlers, our group received a personal clinic led by UChicago assistant coach and NCAA Champion Jason Tsirtsis. These trips matter because they expose our kids to collegiate pathways early so they can start picturing themselves there long before it’s time to apply.
