Wrestlers Discover New Paths During Spring Break Camp

Our annual Spring Break Camp offered for Free to CPS students in grades 5–8 at our Midway, Avondale, and Roseland sites provided for yet another week of learning, exploration, and new experiences. To conclude the week, our kids participated in field trips designed to introduce them to a wide range of career paths and industries. At Cedar Concepts Corporation, Roseland wrestlers toured a chemical manufacturing facility, engaged in a Q&A, and even created their own soap. Midway wrestlers visited Old National Bank, where they took part in a financial literacy workshop, explored the workplace, and connected with professionals during a panel discussion. Avondale wrestlers traveled to Aldridge Construction, learning about the “Track to the Trades” program, speaking with the CFO about accounting, and seeing real projects in action during a facility tour. These experiences helped students build confidence, expand their perspectives, and better understand the possibilities ahead of them.
