Carbery Named Director Emeritus

“Director Emeritus” is an honorary board position without voting rights, acknowledging the organization’s intent to continue to seek the counsel of a retired board member who holds deep institutional knowledge and experience. Executive Director Mike Powell shared, “Paul is a uniquely generous and good man. He’s been with us from the very beginning; as a huge donor, a thought leader, and a brilliant board president. We would not be where we are today without Paul. And he does it all with a compassion and grace that is unmatched!”

Paul’s new role as Director Emeritus reflects both our gratitude for his years of service and our continued appreciation for the wisdom and guidance he brings to the Beat the Streets Chicago community.
